On November 19th, Comerica Theatre will be the venue for the 3rd Annual Arizona Hip Hop Festival. This event has gained a lot of steam the past couple of years, which made this occasion highly anticipated. The top artists of the state will be performing on several sponsored stages with a lot of eyes focused on them. For producers, there is a BeatStreet display showcasing the top producers as well as the state-of-the-art sound equipment headlining the industry. Since we in the West , there’s a LowRider Display for those with Nos in their veins. There’s even a showcase featuring turntablism with the craziest tricks.
With all the elements highlighted, the light of recognition was shown when Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton declared November 19th, Hip Hop Day, one of the first cities in the country to declare a holiday to this amazing culture. With that monumental event, a lot of eyes from outside the stage are focused, which can make this festival that much bigger in the upcoming years.
You can catch DJ Benz at the Respect the Underground Stage, all day. Trust me, it’s something to see.
Everyone out West, Mark November 19th on your calendar!
